Welcome. Here are the facts.

We challenge the formation of a Special Business District in the Shaw neighborhood, which would levy a heavy tax upon property owners for the alleged purpose of hiring private security.  This effort was put forth by a small group of neighborhood residents and does not necessarily represent the views of the neighborhood community at large.

So, if your against adding private police patrols to the neighborhood. Then, what other crime reducing solutions do you recommend?

You’re getting caught up in the logistics of the vote as an excuse as to why people should protest the election – and you’re probably doing it just because you don’t want to pay a little more to ensure safety in our neighborhood. If you’re that concerned about the money, then provide some other ideas for solutions. Remember if you’re not part of the solution than your part of the problem!

I’m shocked to see how much time you all are spending on defeating this voting option for the neighborhood – Why don’t you put some of your efforts to reducing crime in our area.
